Farstad Shipping (Indian Pacific) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Farstad Shipping ASA; a publicly listed Norwegian Company. Farstad operates a fleet of 53 specialist vessels (and 12 new builds0 supporting the offshore oil and gas industry globally, 24 of which are managed between Melbourne and Singapore providing employment for 700 seafarers. Two types of vessels are currently operated by Farstad in the Australasian market: Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) in excess of 10,000BHP, and Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) in excess of 2,000 tonnes deadweight.

CSL Australia operates eleven specialised vessels dedicated to Australian bulk coastal cargoes together with a floating, off-shore transhipment platform and self-unloader barge operation, which tranships in excess of six million tonnes of export iron ore in South Australia. In 2012 the fleet will carry over 14 million tons of dry bulk cargoes for its Australian customers.
