Key outcomes from the 6 June 2019 Seacare Authority meeting (News)

The Seacare Authority met in Melbourne on 6 June 2019. The key outcomes of the meeting are set out below.

Seacare Authority Corporate Plan

The Seacare Authority considered its Corporate Plan for 2019–20, noting a focus on the alignment of key priorities with strategies to minimise risks to the scheme. The Seacare Authority Corporate Plan for 2019–20 will be published on the Seacare website by 31 August 2019.

Focus on mental health

The Seacare Authority agreed to reconvene its Mental Health Working Group, with a view to developing a long-term mental health strategy for the Seacare scheme. This will build on the work already undertaken and maintain the Seacare Authority’s focus on mental health in the maritime industry.

Next meeting

The next meeting of the Seacare Authority will be held in Canberra on 12 September 2019.
